Percussion Audition Camp
When:
May 17-21 @ 4:00-6:00pm

Anybody interested may attend.
No experience necessary.
Audition Requirements
Brass & Woodwind Class Placement Assessment Requirements

Prepared Etude (see link above)
-
1 octave major scales with arpeggio
-
You will be given 2 minutes to play as many as possible.​

Chromatic Scale.

Auditions must be submitted in Google Classroom

Percussion Audition Camp (May 17-21)
-
Your audition will take place over the course of 5 days.
-
You must be present the entire time.

The audition material will come from the technique book that will be provided to you well before the audition camp.

Your progress over the 5-day audition camp will determine the best instrument for you to play during the fall marching band season.

All students play all instruments for concert season.

Upon acceptance into the percussion section, all marching band percussionists must be signed up for the percussion class (4th period) for the fall semester.

Color Guard Audition Camp (May 5,6,11,12,13)

Your audition will take place over the course of 5 days.

You must be present the entire time.

There is no prepared audition material.

Flag, rifle, saber, and body movement will be taught to everybody.

Specific equipment assignments will be ermined depending on staging of the show. For example: you do not "make" the rifle line. You make the color guard.

Your progress over the 5-day audition process will determine your acceptance into the ensemble.

Upon acceptance into the color guard, all guard members must be signed up for the color guard class (4th period) for the fall semester.
